Join the CPA Edmonton Club’s first luncheon of the 2026-2027 season for a presentation on the proposed Suspended Dividend Refund rules (Subsections 129(1.3) to 129(1.33) of the Income Tax Act). The presentation will cover:

o When the Suspended Dividend Refund rules apply.

o Exceptions to the Suspended Dividend Refund rules.

o How to release a dividend refund that has been suspended.

o Other practical implications and uncertainties regarding the Suspended Dividend Refund rules.

Accountants/tax practitioners who manage large corporate groups that have entities with different tax year-ends.
Corporations that hold minority interests in private companies.

As a thank-you for the continued support of our members, we are hosting a luncheon on December 15, 2026 This luncheon will be free to all members under the following criteria:

1. Firms with a single CPA membership will be allowed max 2 attendees, a firm with a two to five CPA membership will be allowed a MAXIMUM of five attendees; Firms with a membership of six or more CPA's will be allowed a MAXIMUM of ten attendees.

2. Booked no shows will be invoiced at $60 plus GST.

3. Your membership MUST be current for the 2026 - 2027 year.

Registration will close as soon as the registration limit is reached according to room size constraints at the Chateau Louis.
